McKenzie is a registered dietitian who has extensive schooling and training in food safety & nutrition. McKenzie is originally from North Ogden, Utah and went to Weber High School. She graduated with honors in Dietetics from Utah State University. She worked at Logan Regional Hospital as a dietitian for six years. McKenzie started Citrus Pear in 2016, to provide a stress free way to make healthy meals. Her husband is an avid cyclist so they spend their summers at bike races cheering him on. She loves going to Zumba and spending time with her three boys.
Megan is from a small farm town in Eastern Idaho. She graduated from Utah State University with a Bachelors of Science in Dietetics. She decided to become a Registered Dietitian back in the 8th grade when a Dietitian came to talk to her health class about her career. Ever since that day, Megan has been hooked on learning more about nutrition, comparing food labels, trying out new recipes, and eating tacos several times a week. She loves the field of Dietetics and the role she plays in being able to share her knowledge about good health and wellness. Megan has a great husband and two wild boys at home that keep her busy and constantly searching for new, nutritious meal options. She enjoys camping, hiking, water skiing, attending home shows, and being with her family.
Avree graduated with honors from Utah State University in Nutrition Science and has been a Registered Dietitian for the past 10 years. Before coming to Citrus Pear she worked as a clinical dietitian at South Davis Community Hospital and Ogden Regional Medical Center. Avree grew up in St. George, Utah and currently resides in North Salt Lake, Utah with her husband and three children. She enjoys running, reading, and spending time outdoors with her family. She also loves to cook, but her two little boys and toddler girl keep her very busy so she understands the importance of easy healthy meals!
Haley is our Citrus Pear dietitian in our St. George location. She also works as a clinical dietitian at Dixie Regional Hospital. She is originally from Cedar Hills, Utah but has relocated with her husband to beautiful St. George. Haley graduated from Utah State University with her Bachelors of Science in Nutrition, Dietetics, and Food Science. She loves working with food and is passionate about helping families bring healthy meals back into the home. She enjoys spending time with her family, running, mountain biking, jet skiing and anything else outdoors!
Since a young age, Janalee has been fascinated with food, she remembers spending hours in the kitchen watching and helping her mother and grandmothers cook. Later as she was involved with athletics, she became interested in how the food she eat affects her physical body.
Upon entering college, the science of food and nutrition truly became Janalee’s passion. She graduated from Utah State University in 2008 with a B.S. in Food Science and completed a nutrition internship in Spokane, Washington. After becoming a registered dietitian, she had the opportunity to work in the clinical and behavioral health setting for five years before returning to finish her Masters of Dietetics Administration through Utah State University in 2014.
Janalee’s current endeavors include owning her own private practice specializing in Eating Disorders and being a wife and mom. She has two amazing boys ages 5 and 3. Cooking and enjoying delicious food has always been a passion of hers; however, this passion has never been greater than after having kids. She loves cooking and introducing new foods to her children. Janalee loves teaching about food and cooking and she is excited to share her love of delicious food and good nutrition with you.
Rebecca is the Citrus Pear Dietitian in Riverton. She graduated from Utah State University with a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics. She has provided nutrition consultation to various healthcare facilities, community centers, and individuals. She has been cooking for many years for the harshest critics—her six kids! Being a busy mom, she knows how important it is to have quick, healthy meals for an active family. She enjoys playing soccer, teaching Zumba, skiing, taking family vacations, and playing board games!
Sarah was born, raised, and educated in Idaho, she has served the Idaho Falls and surrounding community through many nutrition positions. Sarah recently moved back from the San Francisco area and brought back a love for culture and new foods. She has experience in community nutrition, teaching families with a tight budget how to stretch those food dollars and eat a balanced meal. Have questions about a heart healthy, diabetic, or renal diet? Please ask Sarah, she also has clinical experience and has worked in several medical settings. She loves teaching and sharing skills and “life hacks” for living a more convenient and healthy lifestyle. Mealtime does not have to be boring to be quick, it can be fun and flavorful! As a mom of a three year old boy, Sarah get there is so much to juggle in life.
Kaydee is a registered dietitian who has a passion for food and nutrition. She graduated from Utah State University with her Bachelors of Science in Nutrition, Dietetics, and Food Science with an emphasis in Dietetics. After graduation Kaydee got a job working as a clinical dietitian. She enjoys being able to share her passion with others and helping them develop a healthy relationship with food. Besides her love for food and nutrition, Kaydee enjoys hiking, snowboarding, and spending time with her friends and family.
Cara is a Registered Dietitian and a busy mom of four. She received both her Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics and Master’s Degree in Nutrition Science from Utah State University. She worked as a Clinical Dietitian for 10 years at Logan Regional Hospital. She loves making dessert (and eating it) and skiing and boating with her family.
Kathy has worked as a registered dietitian for over 30 years. She graduated from Utah State University with a degree in nutrition and food science and a minor in chemistry. She has worked in clinical and outpatient settings at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Salt Lake City and at the Brigham Medical Clinic. She also worked in a unique position with Ecosure helping restaurants and retail food companies with food safety and food quality. She is married and the mother of four, a girl and three boys. She is a great cook and her gourmet cupcakes receive rave reviews. She enjoys gardening, crocheting, riding horses and seeing new places. She grew up in Brigham City and now resides in Perry, Utah.
Leisa is our Citrus Pear dietitian in our North Salt Lake location. She is from Cache Valley and she received her Master’s degree in Dietetics from the University of Utah. She has a variety of work experience which makes her a well-rounded registered dietitian. She is also an excellent cook! She lives in Salt Lake with her husband and handsome little boy.
Maddie is a true Idaho russet– she was born and raised in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Maddie remembers the first cookbook she received from her Grandma Marti when she was 10 years old. She loved cooking and experimenting with her mom, even if that meant they were the only ones out of the family that liked it.
Maddie graduated from Utah State’s Didactic Dietetics program and became a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) in April of 2017. She is a lover of the colors blue and green, yoga, nature, food, anything dark chocolate and peanut butter, and her family.
Blaire decided to pursue a career in Dietetics after taking a Nutrition class while attending Dixie State. After moving from sunny St. George to the tundra of Utah, Blaire graduated from Utah State University in 2008. Blaire worked as a Dietitian consulting for long term care facilities in Utah and Nevada until she decided to go back to school to get her Master’s at BYU. After graduating from BYU, Blaire found herself back in St. George working at the Diabetes Clinic as a Certified Diabetes Educator. She love her job and the people she gets to help each day. Blaire grew up in Spanish Fork where she developed a love for baseball. Blaire’s major goal in life, besides helping people learn to live healthy lifestyles, is to visit every Major League Baseball stadium.
Kimi is a Registered Dietitian and a true foodie at heart. She enjoys traveling the world and tasting the local cuisine. She is a busy mom and loves spending time with her family. Kimi graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Dietetics and has been pleased with the many avenues she has been able to work in. Originally from Idaho, Kimi grew up on a potato farm. She now lives in Herriman, Utah and teaches at the Riverton location.
Hannah is senior at Utah State University and is majoring in Dietetics with a minor in Human Development. After graduating this spring Hannah will work to complete an internship, which will then fulfill her career goal of becoming a registered dietitian. Hannah has always loved working with food and with people, which is what lead her to pursue dietetics. She hopes in her career she is able to help people realize a healthy lifestyle can be simple and enjoyable. Hannah enjoys running, biking, camping, and lots of other outdoor activities. She has been married almost two years to her husband Dallen who is also still attending school to become a physical therapist. Hannah is originally from Brigham City, UT and currently lives in Wellsville.
